I know I havent been active over the summer, but I got a good excuse. I moved from Scotland to Kleinenbroich/Germany and last weekend I moved again, this time to Stuttgart as I am starting my engineering internship with Porsche here. I am really excited about it - it will be an interesting 6 months





Here goes the ranting:

We also just had elections in Germany, while I wont go into a debate on who to vote etc (everyone has their own opinion and its not my place to change that, just like I dont expect you to change my opinion, for the record I voted FDP - the liberals) I would like to say one thing. The new government (CDU/FDP) has barley been formed, leave alone made any new policies yet - how can a certain (near-)communist party (Linke) call on the trade unions to go out on the streets and protest against new policies and strike? I am absoloutley disgusted by this! What chance did they have to prove themselves?

I remember watching the USA elections last year, especially when John McCain lost he said that all of his voters should accept the vote and follow Obama as he would need every American behind him. I thought that was beautiful, not only a great strength from Mr McCain but also his demonstration that his love for the USA goes over his drive for personal power. Why cant we do that here? We are in a financial crisis like the rest of the world but rather than helping "Angie" and Guido solve things the election losers just try to make their job harder.

I am seriously jealous of the Americans!

Anyway, feel free to comment on this, however I wont go into a political debate. Over the next few weeks I will have some quite evenings which i will use to upload some new pictures especially animal photography.
